EMSCOTE MILL

Location:

Warwick, Warwickshire

client:

King Property Developments

project value:

£1 million

Coloini + Lane were appointed as architectural consultants for the conversion of the former Emscote Mill site from commercial property into eleven 1 bedroom apartments, and one 2 bedroom apartment.

Located in the historical market town of Warwick and originally built in 1806, the former gelatine factory which was served by a canal wharf, where vessels loaded and unloaded goods, was in use during the Imperial period to the east of Wharf Street, Warwick.

The building's next chapter has seen it fully repurposed after careful, intelligent design into beautiful homes for modern living. The open plan apartments incorporate high ceilings and natural light to create a contemporary feel with maximum space and functionality, whilst retaining the period features and dimensions of the original building.
