Putney Library is a Grade II listed public library in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The original building was designed by Francis J Smith and following its construction, the library was opened in 1899.

Wandsworth Borough Council proposed that Putney Library was to become a community hub, including shared workspaces and a new community café. Coloini + Lane were appointed to develop and enhance the concept / planning design from RIBA Stage 3, and to prepare the detailed construction information for RIBA Stages 4, 5 & 6, through to completion.

The works refurbished the ground floor providing new accessible entrance doors, a study area, café space and new toilet facilities. On first floor the children’s library was fully refurbished and works to the second floor combined the existing spaces into a new, fully refurbished, shared workspace and offices with breakout areas and a kitchenette facility.
